The 7th workshop on bacterial electron transport chains took place in Sweden, on May 11-15, 2011, near Lund, in Backagarden conference centre, localized in the middle of a forest. It is a nice tradition of the organizers, Professor Jeff Cole and his collaborators from the European Federation of Biotechnology, to hold this series of meetings out of big cities, in lonely places, where the participants can concentrate exclusively on the conference presentations and discussions.

After our discussion at the FEBSX lecture course on systems biology in Innsbruck, Austria it was agreed that a trip of prof. David Fell from Oxford Brookes University (UK) to Latvia will be arranged to discuss possible collaboration in the future.
